I love the fabrics in this little quilt.

I'd love to make one of these for my toddlers-- I could see it occupying one 2 year old I know for quite a while.

here’s the baby in the jumper.

This is the original ’70s Jumping Jack. It has successfully hung me, my four brothers, my four kids, and a couple of nephews from many a door jamb.

See it in action.

fern

P1010053.JPG
I’ve never lived anywhere that ferns grew in abundance, but I’ve always loved pictures of their little fiddle head shoots waiting to unfurl. And, I’ve always wanted to see some for myself.I did. Last week we rented a little cottage on a lake in New Hampshire.

Ferns, lichen on granite, toes in soft moss, water smooth as glass, freshwater clams seen through the lense of clear water, tiny hemlock pine cones, mornings fresh from night time showers…

this makes me happy

iantummy.JPG

Fresh blue eyes, big as saucers.

4 months today.

I’m getting my body back! Shrinking out of clothes. Thankful for the newness. I really feel like I get a new body with every baby. It feels so fresh and miraculous to step out of the new baby fog. The mist thins gradually– and then, “Oh! I recognize you!” Only, it seems better, more miraculous. Stronger.

Thank you body. Thank you for my babies. Thank you for recovery– for discovery.
