I’ve never lived anywhere that ferns grew in abundance, but I’ve always loved pictures of their little fiddle head shoots waiting to unfurl. And, I’ve always wanted to see some for myself.I did. Last week we rented a little cottage on a lake in New Hampshire.

Ferns, lichen on granite, toes in soft moss, water smooth as glass, freshwater clams seen through the lense of clear water, tiny hemlock pine cones, mornings fresh from night time showers…

  1. That sounds so wonderful! :) I love seeing the spiders’ web on the fern too – how lots of different facets of life are so intertwined. :)
